New squares for Sibol

I was holding back posting pics of the latest squares, as i knew the lovely Sue who creates marvellous blankets for the eldery and other charitable organization's would want to see them in life so to speak, kind of being a nice surprise for her to see them first however i did crack on the was we shall see children's squares, following all the who ares and what not's of British safety regulation's !! so we may be destined to turn those blankets into Young at heart blankets instead ?? we shall see. without further ado i give you the men's grandaddy squares
A bobble square from Jan Eaton's 200 crochet blocks no 201
To compliment it was centred square no55 in Jan Eaton's book
This one was my own small swatch taken from the big granny stripe blanket i'm working on pattern courtesy of Attic 24
next i cheated and asked my Father in Law his favourite colours, and shocked to find they were Scottish themed i did these:

here we have a slightly altered version of granny in the middle no117 and mesh fantasy 53
both of Jan Eaton's 200 crochet blocks
Next came the children's / young at heart squares

Doggy with a collar hehe i just thought he'd look a little more convincing with a carefully sewn on bit of ribbon for his collar i did love this one it was my first in this series of mine
the next one i did was a westie dog
and followed by a brain wave i had as i sat staring at my car keys with my pudsey bear attatched
his little eye scarf was made by doing standard dc starting chain and simlpy decreasing as i went i kept checking against the face to make sure it would be a good fit very proud of that one.
we did also have a summer theme, and for once i drew a blank, i had all these ideas palm trees beach balls crabs, beach umberella's , but couldn't somehow materilize them so i opted to do a little adornment instead i give you one teeny tiny pair of flip flops haha

i added a wee chain inbetween sewing the two parts together to allow Sue to hang them if she wanted to to a summer blankie

The finished batch :)
