jolly hols 2010 :)

Hello and a huge welcome to my new followers >wave xx
So glad to have you here at manda's challenges :) oh what fun i had on Holiday this year at the most beautiful holiday resort down in Redruth Cornwall Lanyon holiday park  do have a wee nosie though the pics don't really do this justice it was delightfully beautiful aww i wish i was there right now , a week doesn't half fly when you're having fun fun fun xx
As you may remember i was desperately trying to finish my granny blankie in time, alas this did not happen twas a busy few weeks prior to leaving but i did manage to even things up a little and managed 8 squares down x 6 across Oh well not to worry i'm still loving it and desperately did'nt want to not love it purely by rushing things as Marilyn kindly reminded me might happen if i tried too hard to rush it, i'm sooo glad i took her advice Marilyn mwah xxxxxx
I took it along with me and ooh let me tell you there were squabbles over it haha my daughter hijacked it almost immediately followed by son who kept it for the remainder of the hol haha oh dear looks like making sure i have 3 for next year hehehehehe

we had some lovely trips to several beaches as we generally have a drive round whilst in Cornwall, it always amazes me that it can be absolutely pouring down on site yet a few miles out the sun will be blazing :) well for the past 5 years this has been the case touch wood hehe

Falmouth Beach

this is a favourite little shingle beach we tend to visit often it has the little beach huts over to the far left with a little cafe and delightful icecream parlour hmmm yum yum

we had a shopping trip into Truro the one day where the busy shops are hehe

The children adorned with new raincoats out of Mountain Warehouse and me, well i had a cute little Milk flask with a little campervan on hehe

I have a thing for campervans the old Vw ones don't know why i just find them adorable in their own little way.

Evenings were spent lazing around there was a little club house on site but we chose to do our own entertaining ) We went along with my sister in law and her hubby as we generally do each year and whist the men were busy down the club playing pool we had a little tipple or two haha

By candlelight Polish Vodka and coke hehe lethel stuff only needed a couple of glasses :)

Our trailer tent had a most unfortunate leak the thursday night awwww

Our bedroom

After removing the wet sleeping bag and inner tent we were left with a rather wet bedroom board, oh dear :(

Midnight we were in the laundry room drying the sleeping bag and rearranging the living space into a makeshift bedroom for the night, oh the joys of camping though i must add this was our own fault we had'nt fully pulled out all the lines that would have prevented this unfortunate thing happening :( my daughters bed was fine :) as was my son's who was underneath her in his own little inner tent :)

Friday after pulling all the lines out as far as possible bit late for that but did stop making matters worse :( we drove out to St Ives :) oh am i glad we did it was the most delightful expierence ever quaint little shops with the most gorgeous goodies in them,  though by this time Money was a little tight  Typical as i could easily have spent a small fortune there haha

But the piste de resistance oh yes Ladies was the most flavoursome Kelly's triple icecream oh yes was that needed

oh yes Ladies oh boy this truely did make my day Sealions popped their heads up whilst looking at out along the pier i was in heaven never before had i seen sealions along British waters and i was savouring every moment

Ahhhh fabulous i really enjoyed seeing them :)

After a really bad start to 2010 this truely made my holiday xxx

It's a pity it all ends so quickly awww a 6 hr journey home saw the end to a fabulous week (usually only takes 3 hrs but holiday traffic and all and a pitstop to refuel energy levels hehe )

Twas a fantastic holiday if ever you manage to get way down South west do pop to St Ives you won't regret it xxxxxxx
